Scheduling An Appointment

We require credit card and additional information to schedule and hold your appointment. For the security of your information, all appointments will be accepted through our online booking site only.

Any requests for appointments over the phone or e-mail will be referred to our online booking to schedule.

Cancellation Policy

We value the time spent with you, and ask that you please respect our time schedule, so we may offer the best service to each and every client.

We understand that sometimes you need to change your schedule, and we respectfully request 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment, so that we may make your appointment time available for another person on our waiting list.

If you cancel/reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, or if you do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged the full amount of the services you booked to the credit card on file.

Late Arrivals

Please send a text message to Brita at (206) 708-9476 if you are running late for your appointment.

We recommend arriving 5 minutes before the start of your appointment to find parking and use the restroom. There is a five minute grace period for all appointments. If you arrive late, your appointment may be shortened or rescheduled in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. We will determine if there is enough time remaining to start your service.

Parking

There is plenty of free street parking with time restrictions. There is a one hour limit in front of the salon, and two or more hours on the residential streets behind the building. The parking lots directly behind the building are for apartment tenants & QFC customers only. These lots are routinely enforced, and you may be ticketed in either lot.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my appointment?

Your service provider will greet you in the lounge area and take you to your treatment room. They will explain how to disrobe for your service, and position yourself on the treatment table. Complimentary cleansing towelettes, and tampons are available in the room for your use.

Once you are comfortable on the table, your provider will knock before re-entering the room. They will guide you through a step-by-step process of your service, checking in with you regarding your comfort level throughout. Once your service is completed, you may be given some product and a warm steam towel to remove any sticky wax residue remaining on your skin.

Your provider will exit the room to allow you to dress, and will meet you outside the treatment room door. At the register, you will be given information on aftercare, product recommendations, and any questions you have will be addressed.

How long does my hair need to be to get waxed?

Your hair should be 1/4 inch or longer, or about 3 weeks since your last trim or shave, to receive the cleanest wax possible. Please note: if your hair is too short to be waxed, and you choose to receive your service same day, you will be charged for the full amount of the service price regardless of results.

How long will my wax last?

Once all of your hair is on the same growth cycle, your wax should last about 3 weeks before you see much growth. If this is your first wax, or if you have shaved between waxing, it may take a few sessions to achieve an ideal hair growth cycle.

Can I get a bikini wax during my period?

Yes! As long as you are wearing a fresh tampon, you may get waxed on your period. Complimentary tampons are provided for your convenience. Please note that some people are more sensitive to pain, and you may be more likely to have skin sensitivity during this time.

What should I do to prepare for my waxing appointment?

We recommend exfoliating the area the day before your appointment, to ensure your hair comes out as smoothly as possible. It may be helpful for you to take an ibuprofen before your service, as it may reduce pain and swelling.

My hair is long. Should I trim before my appointment?

There is no need to trim before you appointment. If any trimming is necessary in order to perform your service (often is it not), we will take care of it for you.

Is there any reason I cannot be waxed?

You should not get waxed if you are taking antibiotics, or prescription acne medication (Accutane, Retin-A etc). Please refer to our Terms and Conditions page for a full list of waxing contraindications.

I’m under 18 years old, can I get waxed?

Yes. If you are a minor, your parent or guardian must book the appointment and give consent for you to receive services, and we require a legal guardian be present for your first appointment.

Can I bring a friend with me?

They are welcome to sit in the lounge, however due to limited space and privacy, we do not allow anyone else be present in the room during your service.

Can I bring my child with me?

We understand that sometimes it may be difficult to find care for your child during your appointment. However, due to limited space, child safety concerns around our equipment, and the comfort of all of our guests, we are unable to accommodate children in our space.

Sick Policy

Please do not come to the spa sick. Visiting the spa while you are sick directly exposes your service provider and other clients to any illness you have; if you think you are getting a cold, getting sick, or are sick, we ask that you please contact us to reschedule your appointment. Stay home, hydrate and rest. Come in when you’re feeling better!

Can I be waxed during my pregnancy?

Yes, many people choose to be waxed throughout their entire pregnancy! We offer a bolster pillow for clients who need to remain seated upright. Please note that your skin may be more sensitive, and sensitivity to pain may be increased during this time.

How long should I wait between wax appointments?

For best results, wait at least 4-6 weeks between your waxing sessions. For the smoothest wax possible, do not shave or trim between your appointments.

What type of wax do you use?

Our esthetician has specialized in using a gentle strip (soft) wax for over 10 years. To ensure the best possible service for you, we do not offer hard wax on any services besides nostril & ear waxing.

Will I see a reduction of hair growth from waxing?

Many people see a reduction in hair growth and density with regular waxing, sometimes in just a few sessions! For best results, maintain a 4-6 week waxing schedule, and do not trim or shave between appointments.

I don’t know which type of waxing service I want. How do I know the difference between services?

Please refer to our Services page for a description of all services we offer!

Aftercare

For best results, avoid the following for 48 hours after waxing: hot tubs, saunas, hot baths, heavy exercise, tanning beds/sunbathing.

After 48 hours, begin to exfoliate the area every 2 days with an exfoliating glove/brush, or body scrub. Apply PFB Ingrown Roll-On, or On The Go Exfoliator wipes every 2-4 days.
